Benny Adelina's, located in Smith Mountain Lake, serves up large pizzas at affordable prices. We craft quality 28” pizzas quickly, ensuring a satisfying and budget-friendly dining experience.

Benedito, better known as ''Benny,'' served as an inspiration and a driving force behind the personality and recipes of Benny's Pizza. Born in the old country and raised in Brooklyn, Benny was known for his compassion, dedication, and good taste. He worked under numerous Italian chefs and served a generation of city leaders and cultural icons. Due to unknown circumstances, he left the city and found himself in a small town on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. There, he began making pizza pies for his neighbors using a brick oven he built off his back porch, gaining popularity within the community.

Building upon the original Benedito's persona, “Adelina’s” represents the honorable and idealistic side of Benny. “Adelina” literally means noble, and the creation of Smith Mountain Lake in 1963 was as noble a feat as any.

Benny Adelina’s opened in time for summer in 2014 at the West Lake shopping center next to Kroger. Although we are not accessible by boat on SML, we stay open late, serving 28” pies and cold beer to wash it down. Join us for a taste of Benny's legacy by the lake!
