Under the direction of Clarence “Bo” W. Hall, Hall Community Services Inc began as Hall Mentoring Services in 2008. Since then, HCS has grown exponentially and now includes services such as Mental Health Skill-Building, Payee Services and a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Day Program.
Located at our Roanoke location,''Our Place'' Psychosocial Rehabilitation services is licensed by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. Each day, our professional staff encourage independence and personal development in our participants by providing support with activities of daily living (ADL) skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene tasks. Our staff also support the development of social skills by providing opportunities for discussions, specialized groups, community outings, and creative group activities.
Mental Health Skill Building Services (MHSS)
Mental Health Skill-Building services provide goal-directed training to enable individuals to achieve and maintain community stability and independence. MHSS provides training on functional skills and appropriate behavior related to the individual’s health and safety; activities of daily living, and use of community resources; assistance with medication management; and monitoring health, nutrition, and physical condition.
